Noi is an ongoing series of work that began in 2017. It consists of my mother's recollection of the places of the past, sound recordings, coupled with visits to the actual site and visual imagery created to evoke how memories that have passed. The work examines how each one of us may exist in a different reality within the same time and place, and how different memories can be derived from similar conditions. I'm also curious in the finitude of memories. In tracing my mother's memories, I wonder what it is like for someone who has lived much longer and possesses a much deeper memory: will the memories be very fragmented or muddled, do older memories fade away or are they fresher than recent ones?
